November, 2021 We Had Matthew come to our school and do an assembly about the planetarium for all of our students Grades Pre-k to Three, including our Special Needs children. He was absolutely amazing and accommodating! He was even able to accommodate us with a student who is in a wheelchair with a one to one aide and nurse. Every class absolutely loved the assembly and even loved the slides and lessons he sent to go along with what they learned being inside the dome. He made the experience fun! All you heard was laughter and students being amazed. They asked great questions and kept saying thank you when it was all done. The teachers event ranted and raved to the PTO thanking them for thise phenomenal assembly. We would highly recommend Matthew from "What's Out There"!!! We were able to have Matt present to all of our grades in one day, we are a K-8 district. The activities prior to his presentations were outstanding and really engaged the students and prepared them for what would be coming. It was nice to see the connections that the students made to what they have learned in the classroom. Matt went as far as to ask how he could more closely align what he was doing to our curriculum. Greetings, The academic year 2022 - 2023 has been the most successful cycle since I started my business in December of 2014. I have done presentations in New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and Massachusetts, as well as in New Jersey. I am looking forward to working with schools, camps, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and yes even birthday parties. I can't wait to show them "what's out there". My program is educational, entertaining, engaging and SAFE! I will work within the parameters of your school district to provide a rewarding and enriching lesson. I am flexible and can work with you to make this happen. Many schools have already booked for the upcoming academic year and others are simply in the process of securing dates for their presentations. Reach out to me in a timely fashion to get the date that would best serve your school. Remember no deposit is required and payment is due after the presentations have been completed. In the busy environment of today’s schools, time is a valuable commodity. Often, finding time for an enriching educational experience, while important and worthwhile, falls by the wayside in favor of rigorous classroom instruction. It has become more difficult (and expensive) to take a field trip to help stimulate a student’s interest in a variety of subjects. Fortunately, this concern is addressed fully by my program. What’s Out There… is an experience that will bring the field trip to your school! Through my program, students are able to enter a planetarium and see the night sky up close. Science comes alive through an interactive presentation delivered right at school. Not only do children have the benefit of seeing the stars above like never before, but with What’s Out There… they become the assistants to the presenter. During a fun presentation in a collapsible planetarium, students will be able to point out what they see as part of an engaging experience, encouraging curiosity and excitement about the world around them. They will explore stars and constellations, learn how the planet moves and ponder the mysteries the skies hold. With an in-school enrichment experience like mine, I take care of everything to ensure a successful “journey” among the stars, without ever leaving your campus. My program offers a lesson for the classroom teacher to use prior to the planetarium experience, as a PowerPoint presentation or lesson plan and paper hand out. I will arrive at your location, set up all equipment and guide the students through the cosmos, allowing them to see the stars up close and make meaningful discoveries about our universe. After the experience, teachers will be provided with various follow up activities to use with the class to extend the lesson. Various grades can be accommodated as all materials are leveled and aligned to state science standards. The lessons are also tailored to the time of year and can be created with specific interests or goals in mind. With What’s Out There… the sky is truly the limit! As a side note, I utilize a hepa filter in my planetarium to ensure the environment is as safe as can be expected. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or special requests.
