Thank you, Matthew! It was a pleasure to watch how interested and excited the kids were about learning during your presentation!
I plan to send a request for feedback form to each grade level science teacher, and will provide you with a summary of their feedback as well.
Thank you again for your energy and enthusiasm - It's amazing how you tailor each presentation to each grade-level!
I hope your presentation tomorrow at Parkway is a success, and that you have a wonderful holiday season and Happy New Year!
Look forward to following up with you in 2024,

Presentations Offered
Our Galaxy and Solar System
This presentation allows the children to observe our galaxy from far out in space. What does our galaxylook like? How many stars are there in our galaxy? What holds the galaxy together? Does the galaxy move? All of these questions are answered during this presentation.
What about the solar system? What do we know about the sun? Planets orbit stars and moons orbit planets. How many planets orbit the sun? How many moons orbit the planets? How are the planets alike…different? These questions are also answered.
The Night Sky
Since time began, man has looked up to the sky. This viewing of the sky has inspired myths and legends. What do you see when you look up at the sky? Are you seeing planets or stars? Do the stars move? What does the sky look like tonight? Which constellations are visible? All of these questions and more will be answered as the children view the night sky on the date of the presentation.
The Moon
We all see it. We all think we know about it. But what do we really know about the moon? Which way does the moon move across the sky? Why does the moon have phases? What is a lunar eclipse? What is a solar eclipse? When do they occur?
These questions will be answered during the presentation.
Greek Mythology
You have already seen the night sky. You have already seen the groupings of stars. Which stars are combined to create constellations? Where is Orion? Can you find Cassiopeia? Where are Ursa Major and Ursa Minor? Find out during the presentation of the Night Sky and Greek Mythology.
Native American Mythology
Once again, after observing the Night Sky, the same groupings of stars are visible. How did the Native Americans explain the origins of the Earth and Sky? They viewed the same sky as the Greeks, yet they had their own legends to explain life. What were some of those legends? Those questions will be answered as part of this presentation.
African Mythology
Once again the students will observe the sky as seen from their location in the Northern Hemisphere. The African skies are not the skies we see here in North America, but they are the southern skies. Polaris is at the horizon. Here the children will be able to view the sky as the various tribes in Africa did. What is different? What stories did the tribes in Africa use to explain life? These questions and more will be answered during this presentation.
The Galaxy and Solar System is used in conjunction with the Night Sky. All other presentations are a combination of the Night Sky and whichever topic you should choose (Native American Mythology, Greek Mythology, African Mythology or The Moon).
